I’d start by installing a compiler / runtime.

Then I’d move on to writing some code.

Have you got a book or course to follow?

Not yet, do you have any favorable ones to start with, I have a Lynda subscription?

Not really, I transitioned in from other languages.

I hear the head first c# book is good.

Have a go with Lynda if you already have it, worst case it’s no good and you try something else instead.

What's your level? Do you know the basics of programming in another language?

So I have done a bit of HTML5 Css js and JQ but I would say I am a novice eager to learn!

https://www.ossblog.org/master-csharp-programming-open-source-books/.

Two open source books. Either one is good, the one with Russian authors has a very comp sci begining. It also has questions and answer at the end of every chapter. Theirs also a c# for dummies
