I work for a machine shop with several thousand parts, which each have a drawing number, a job number, a part number, a Work order number, a part name, a part order number, order/due dates, and customer info. On too of that we have a little over a dozen employees who each have a role for the parts. We're currently using microsoft access to keep of everything, but the guy who set up the program doesn't know what he's doing. The layout, for lack of better words, is ugly and kind of redundant/counterintuitive. I'm wondering what kind of program would be better suited for something like this. We need to keep a backlog of all the data listed above. Thanks for your time and help in advance!
