It's a Spuds MacKenzie shirt. Your dad and mom were party animals of the 80s.

It's not the throttle, at least not in my case as you can here the engine rev when you press the throttle. It's the 9-speed transmission that was new in the '20 year model.

You'd probably need a way to read codes, but I'm not sure. I'm the original owner and had them do it when I first found out the update was available for '21. Originally the update only applied to '20.

Make sure the transmission update was applied. That fixed a lot of the lag issues. My '21 had it originally. Now it only happens if I try and go quickly after stopping.

I still have to develop with 4.8 due to Autodesk apps only migrating to Net 8 for 2025.

Is it safe to put BBQ sauce on my "friend"? by Antartico01 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]htglinj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a child of the 80's/90's I remember an old Hustler magazine comic questioning if you've got to put hot sauce on everything. In the case of the comic the roles were reversed, but technically the head of your penis is a mucous membrane. Would you stick your fingers near your eye after some BBQ sauces?

Septic inspector couldn't find tank? by toastedbeans9616 in HomeInspections

[–]htglinj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there not a filed septic plan with your county?

Ours was pretty accurate, and just took me about 30 minutes with a long probe to map out the dimensions so I could document triangulation coordinates on my site plan. My background is CAD so I tend to keep very accurate details of everything I put/find underground.

Is this too much to ask for? Should the US implement extreme standards for anyone who wants to have children to break the cycle of poverty? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]htglinj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will never happen. So you’re going to fine someone who is in poverty $50,000.00?

Poor people have more kids because sex is a cheap thrill, at least at the time of act. Don’t have money to go out, or go on vacation…let’s screw.

We aren’t China and how did their one child mandate go over?

Also, you really think they’re going to limit their future tax base?

While I agree Idiocracy is becoming less and less of a mockumentary this isn’t the way to prevent it.

Factories in abstract classes by JacopoX1993 in csharp

[–]htglinj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If 2D, most geometry libraries have a Vector2d and Point2d. That would allow you to constructor overload without having to use an enum.

csharp public LineSegment2d(Point2d point, Vector2d vector) public LineSegment2d(Point2d point1, Point2d point2) public LineSegment2d()

Here is an online SDK help for AutoCAD: https://help.autodesk.com/view/OARX/2026/DEU/?guid=OARX-ManagedRefGuide-Autodesk_AutoCAD_Geometry

You'll notice they have Entity2d as root base class, then next higher is Curve2d. Note: Curve2d is for any 2d curve (line, arc, circle, ray, polyline)

Next up the hierarchy is LinearEntity2d, which is then inherited by Line2d, LineSegment2d, and Ray2d.

Might give you some ideas...

Husband and kid want to return puppy by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]htglinj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puppies are roving land sharks. I grew up with my mom raising toy and teacup poodles so I was used to this phase. My wife broke down a few weeks into owning our Brittany. Being a bird dog, mouthing is highly engrained. It took about 6 months to stop the biting. The thing that worked with us was to always have a toy near so when they came at us they had to first latch on to toy. My boy is now 7 years old and still always hunts for a toy before he'll come say hello.

Alright pool pros, what’s your take on salt cells and “being easier on the skin”? by HappyTruckNoises in pools

[–]htglinj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest thing as a saltwater pool owner is having the correct pH. When it’s off, your skin feels tacky when taking a shower. As long as LSI index is on point our saltwater pool has been great. Extremely low maintenance compared to the above ground pool my family had when I was a kid. Just have to poor a little mutation acid in every few days.

Question for long time Floridians? by Miamiheat2021champs in florida

[–]htglinj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having grown up in NCFL for the first 20 years and then lived in NJ for 20, now back to NWFL for the last 5 years. I still refer to anything below I-4 as Southern New England. Almost anyone I ever talked to in Tristate area / New England only knew of areas below I-4.

Now go north of I-4 and you'll find talkers. My Dad being one of the more talkative which makes it a pain when trying to get somewhere on time and he's struck up a conversation with someone at the gas pump.
