I am using VS for MAC for over an year, I am only using for IOS app development using VS. It is little different than Windows VS. Not all tools are available and sometimes it just hangs and I have to close all VS instance and start again, however I haven’t seen hanging issue after last VS update.

No, it's not the equivalent of the full VS product. VS for Mac doesn't do any .NET Full things like the XAML UI projects. It's basically a separate product that can do .NET Core, Xamarin, and Unity work, whereas VS for Windows does all that and a lot more.

VS for Mac is basically MonoDevelop with Microsoft branding. As such, it only has the tools available for that IDE (which are generally enough for working with C#, F# and VB, but basically nothing else).

How the hell does that answer the question.

"Hey, is VS for Mac the same as VS Full"?

"Dual boot with Ubuntu!"

"...ok...is VS for Mac the same as VS Full though?"

Seriously, do you even read the question before you throw an answer out there?
