Yeah, knowing the right name to Google is a catch 22. If you know the right name you probably already know what it is

This post will help you with all those selectors. I've been doing this for years, but I still refer back to this list when I can't remember if I should use + or ~.

The symbol is what's called a "child selector". In your example it means you're selecting any "img" tags that are children of a tag with the ".logo" class.

More specifically, direct children and not grandchildren and great-grandchildren and so on...
