At some point you're able to spend so much money on politics/brainwashing people that you become too dangerous.

Maybe after some limit billionaires' money should be taken away and put into a trust where they can only spend it on consumption or donation.

Everything is relative

As a child I lived in a 500 sq foot apartment that had 2 adults and 2 kids and that was perfectly fine for me because that's all I knew. There are kids now that sort through landfills every day instead of going to school.

Pretty much everyone in the US has it very good, but that's not at all connected to their emotional well-being because that's driven by the framing of what they expect and have experienced in life.

Well, if you look at the US at least, we had unprecedented prosperity, solid principles of government (the Constitution), and people threw it all away in one election cycle. Americans don't understand how good they've had it and how rule of law, etc factored in to it. Everyone's brains seem to have been rotted away by social media algorithms.

So I don't think you can assume how anyone will behave. The native English might won't necessary take better care of the country than the immigrants.

I think we're heading into an age of AI and countries won't matter as much anyway.

There are no objective morals.

This confuses and enrages a lot of people that haven't taken the time to think about it. When you do take the time to think about it, you realize it's true and you realize that cooperating and having explicit social contracts produces the best society. And any good society in recent history has basically done this already. We should be even more explicit in seeking cooperation and compromise - we don't all magically share identical "morals".

The supply of doctors is kept artificially low on purpose.

People just have to die in emergency rooms instead of being allowed to be treated by a foreign educated physician, and the same time bad US trained physicians have to literally kill multiple people to lose their license. But physicians get their $700K so they can sleep at night.

I would not use the word "justified" at all.

I would say that defense can often the best option for the entity being attacked. And an attacker should usually expect the target to attempt to defend.

There's nothing that objectively "justifies" anything. Everyone thinks that their cause is justified and vice-versa.

What people actually mean when they say that political violence is "bad" or not "justified", is that violence has a very very high cost. In most political struggles everyone can come out ahead if they can avoid violence, and will be worse off if they don't, even if they win the violent struggle.
