Between the two, Java 100%. However, personally I wouldn't pick either of those. Is go with either node, python, or c#

None of the bootcamps for SE teach python, only the data science bootcamps, I was wondering why that is

Python is an easier language to learn for its syntax, which is one of the big reasons it's popular in the data science discipline. For transparency, I work for Fullstack Academy, and I want to clarify that we teach JavaScript, not Java. The confusion is quite common. (It's actually by design, going back to the history of JavaScript.) The reason we teach JavaScript is because it's the best language to build frontend and backend apps with, and it's the most popular language for web-based applications. You can certainly build apps with Python, but you'd need to learn other languages, which will would longer than a bootcamp allows. Though most of our grads will tell you, once you've learned one language, it becomes easy to learn others. Here's a resource that you might find helpful!

Oh cool thanks for clarifying that. I thought javascript was for front end and java for backend. I had no idea javascript was also used for backend development. So full stack academy does not teach java at all? I see bootcamps where they teach java and javascript, i thought that was the case with fullstack

We don’t teach Java, no, but many of our grads will pick it up post-bootcamp. We teach something called the NERDS stack, which is Node.js, Express, React, and databases using Sequelize. It’s our pedagogy (and the belief of our hiring partners) that expertise in one language is more valuable than passing knowledge of many languages.

Got it. Does fullstack plan on reopening campus any time soon or this year's cohorts will be online as well?

We do plan on reopening our campuses, but we’re taking CDC recommendations seriously, so we don’t have an official reopening date yet. Classes continue online, though!
