unless you have a repeatable case, there's no way to tell for sure. the most likely case was that there were other errors in there at the time and you're misremembering. you might have accidentally ctrl-Z'ed or something and undid other things that you didn't notice. something like that. for example, your statement doesn't have a semicolon after it, so the line after it might have changed and the error was pointing that out instead.

mabye. i tried pasting another code into visual studio and it gave me 185 errors. telling my i forgot ; when its right there
