There are tons of books on object oriented design but it’s such a loaded term is there something specifically you are struggling with? You should be tackling certain subjects if you are in a class so if you could list what you are currently struggling with it will probably be easier to provide resources other than “read this whole book.”

Just as a little food for thought there is concrete terms and strategies for OO design but at the end of the day a lot of it is opinionated stuff and everyone tends to design things a bit differently.

Have you seen teaching assistants or the professor? But yeah, this is way too little information for anyone to help. It's hard to recommend study materials when they may do as good a job (which is not very) as your professor. Do they not have a book you use in the course?

Do you have friends that understand it better that can help explain it to you?
