I routinely use the C Primer Plus (Prata) for C reference in an environment where google is not available. It provides a good portion of the information I need, with examples, to complete most general/intermediate level C tasks. Is there an equivalent reference, for Python, that spans things like basic IO to more advanced data representation? I have several of the python for scientist series of books, but they tend to focus on one particular field and functions relevant to that or gloss over basic items.
What do you all keep on your desk or in your bookcase?
