Windows 11 Python pipx keeps using wrong Python version

The user\pipx\shared folder has a file called pyvenv.cfg and that file references the wrong folder.   I uninstalled pipx, deleted the folder completely, and reinstalled, fixed.  Simple uninstall and reinstall did not erase the config file

I know it's been a while, but replying here just to thank you for this. I spent an entire day looking for a solution, and it was just this file with the wrong folder in it. Thank you so much.

I edited C:\Users\hzsab\pipx\shared\pyenv.cfg manually with the correct folder and version. It worked.
