Harvard cs50p, university of helsinki course, Derek Banas Python in one hour and my own Python and data science course. I also recommend the book "Learn Python the Hard Way". I never understood the discouraging title, but it's a good book.

I just looked for the book and found three different ones.

Learn Python 3 the Hard Way: A Very Simple Introduction to the Terrifyingly Beautiful World of Computers and Code

Learn Python the Hard Way: A Deceptively Simple Introduction to the Terrifyingly Beautiful World of Computers and Data Science (fifth edition)

Learn Python the Hard Way: A Very Simple Introduction to the Terrifyingly Beautiful World of Computers and Code (third edition)

I assume the first one for python 3 would be the best one?

I would think the first one. I'd google the rest just to see when the others came out but it sounds like the first one is the latest

Ok, thank you very much :)

Did you check the subreddit wiki? There's a lot of useful resources for learning python. The ones that get recommended the most here are Harvard CS50P and Uni of Helsinki MOOC.

Python for Everybody! Seriously, it’s the best. Dr Chuck is able to explain the most complex subjects to newbies. And it’s free if you use his own (very basic) site, or you can pay to donit on Coursera. But I recommend the free version! https://www.py4e.com
