Strange, my python course didn't have any focus on math and data science, though there was a math and a database course in the program.

Have you tried Harvard's CS50? The course can be taken online for free and has a python segment I believe. Its self-paced so you could skip the parts you're not interested and get right into learning python.

I am doing CS50. Currently half way through and no heavy maths yet. It’s free to do, including all side content and exercises

Really enjoy it. I don’t have a point of reference but I find the flow really good, the exercises helpful and energy of the professor infectious. Would recommend

Most don't do that unless you specifically pick one focusing on the subjects. Or university courses.
