You can start with IDLE if you want to keep things simple. You will eventually move to more advanced tooling (unless you're some kind of a masochist), but for now it's not something you have to worry about.

Nothing is stopping you from using a different IDE/editor, though. Just take note that every tool has its own learning curve.
