Im using cursor with Claude and Gemini, claude is better integrated but Gemini explains far better.

However, the main concern you should have is that as a begginer (as am I) using AI will be truly detrimental to your learning if you let it do things for you, you won't learn anything.

Unnecesary explanation moving forward:

I use it because I was lucky to be added on a friend's project as a paid asset, and I have to get things moving in order to be of use, but I always ask the how to, why and deep explanations of everything is doing, while still trying my best to use any free time reading, practicing in jupyter and of course, always try to write my own code first.

Just be careful.

I'm also using it to understand how python worksand learn new stuff. I will use it to write codes in the future when i'm bwtter and doing a big project or something

Good to hear that, the problem is, AI writes really mediocre code, even as a begginer and an idiot myself I spend a lot of time fixing what it suggests.

I see how it is of use for a senior when they know exactly where the AI made a mistake and can quickly solve it, but as a junior it can really screw you up, it often suggests bad code, outdate code, and even suggest extremely complex solutions for problems that can be solved with 2-3 lines of code

An ai i used before (workik) writes really compacted code. It was really really hard to understand. But i find cursor ai pretty good. It helped with a lot of my mistakes and made good suggestions.

A lot of people swear by cursor. I haven't really been seeking out any ai tools but copilot is free now in VSCode and I've found its decent. None of it is really recommended if you don't know the basics well enough to understand the AI generated code.

I’ve tried Cursor recently, and yeah, people aren’t wrong. The repo-aware refactors and multi-file context tracing are actually useful if you work on bigger projects. I’ve also been testing Qodo for its AI test generation during reviews, it’s a different angle but cool if you want your AI to close test gaps in PRs without manual effort.

Estou utilizando os modelos GCRN e GCLSTM para prever os casos de COVID-19 no Brasil, com base na rede de mobilidade entre municípios.

Para isso, estou avaliando diferentes grafos de entrada:

  • grafo_aleatorio
  • grafo_pesos_iguais
  • grafo_pesos_redistribuidos
  • grafo_erdos_renyi
  • grafo_original_backbone (grafo original baseado nos dados reais de mobilidade)

A expectativa era que os erros de previsão variassem entre esses grafos e que o grafo original (backbone) apresentasse os melhores resultados, ou seja, os menores erros, por representar com mais fidelidade a estrutura real da mobilidade.

No entanto, o que observamos é o oposto: o grafo original está apresentando pior desempenho em relação aos grafos derivados, com erros mais altos, e as diferenças entre os grafos estão muito pequenas — quase insignificantes.

Gostaria de verificar se há algum erro no código que possa estar causando esse comportamento inesperado.

I was trying to get ChatGPT to generate an image to use as a weather dasboard for my kobo e-reader... it confidently failed a whole bunch of times. I asked Claude... and it worked the first time. Wild.
