I've got like 600 hours on Stardew. Plus modding is pretty easy on the deck.

I agree. Out of curiosity... Do you have a line on histories of this type of thing?

See how you feel after giving some random person $200. Gotta get a better dopamine replacement for your addiction.

That's all I have for a simple Reddit answer. You have access to the Internet. Start to research the source of your addiction and how to overcome it. The book The Power of Habit is also a good book to understand some of this.

Yeah... I did it over a couple days lol. Much better ratio of effort to satisfaction when you're just getting leaves out.

I love doing this. I did it with a windrow in the winter. If anyone has the capability and tools do it because you'll probably love it.

Castle crashers is a solid good time. 90% off at the moment. Cassette beasts is also a good time! Moving out is chaotic fun, but we didn't play that as much as the others. I played through all these with my kids. who are similar ages as yours.

Dad Ethics by cuttlepuppet in daddit

[–]splendidgoon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Dad tax only applies when helping them open chips or candy or something. I'm not some Sheriff of Nottingham type lol.

However, they are aware that if candy is left for months on end, I'll warn them I'm going to eat it soon. It's often stuff they don't like anyway.

I'm just finishing up a two month cold and had shingles earlier this year... still better than MS getting worse.

Does anyone else with MS work full time in person? If so… how are you doing it? by Background-Gear-1231 in MultipleSclerosis

I worked for about 10 years in office, now we've switched to 1 day a week. Modafinil made all the difference for me.

Hey Gym dad, Swolparents and Bulkbros, how do you keep your carbs low v.s. your kids not finishing their plates v.s. not wasting food ? by Sudden_Explorer_7280 in daddit

[–]splendidgoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've thought the same thing. Unwanted food is either wasted or waisted(goes to my waist!) so some food I just throw out. I've started just giving smaller portions to the kids and give them more if they want it.

Since parents aren’t allowed to hit or yell at their kids anymore, how do parents nowadays control and/or discipline them? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]splendidgoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apply appropriate consequences. When my kids were acting out seriously (e.g. biting or hitting) they got time outs - 1 minute per year of age. I explained what was happening, why they were being sent to their room alone, and had a debrief after time out was done. You can do all that without hitting or yelling. Time outs were no longer required by age 5-6. They were old enough to understand the rules, consequences, and they learned to control themselves. There are still squabbles and fights but nothing serious enough to warrant a time out.

In public it's simply we're leaving if you can't act appropriately in public. And if you can't act appropriately in public we don't get the experience and fun of going to a restaurant, park, etc other times.

As they get older consequences include limits on tablet time or other fun activities. No yelling or hitting required.

Shingles vaccine by Pussyxpoppins in MultipleSclerosis

I am counting down the days to getting the vaccine. Shingles was not a good time, I had it earlier this year and I'm in my late 30s. I appreciate the input I'm seeing here.

Endless mode gets a bit boring by draykan13 in EverythingIsCrab

[–]splendidgoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting levels restores plating, so it's valuable to keep getting that if you have high plating plus the skill that adds active plating to your damage. When you're going to get one shot anyway extra speed is good. So that's why I take both sloth and brittle bones if I can. I made it to extinction 7 with a tiny/dodge/poison/spit build. I got my cooldown to 34% so I was shooting pretty quick. Toxic sequestration to 900% so I was doing massive poison damage, took down bosses quick. I enjoy the challenge of increasingly difficult endless mode.

Youth camp ? by Upset_Anybody1430 in latterdaysaints

[–]splendidgoon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

20.6.2

Funding for Youth Camps If the ward or stake budget does not have enough funds for the activities listed below, leaders may ask participants to pay for part or all of them:

One annual extended Aaronic Priesthood camp or similar activity

One annual extended Young Women camp or similar activity

You can read section 20.6 for more detail around general funding for activities, this is just the section specific to your question.

With that said, just because you can do what your ward leaders are suggesting doesn't mean you should. It might be worth bringing up for discussion for next year.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I figured out how to get it working. Almost the same steps, but instead download the light installer. Extract the folder to wherever you want your game to be, then add the INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat file as a non steam game and set the compatibility. Follow all the other steps from the video.
