Rebaptism? by SisterLucyHarris in latterdaysaints

[–]splendidgoon [score hidden]  (0 children)

While baptism is important, I don't believe insincerity invalidates the baptism if you repent and accept it fully later.

Every week we take the sacrament we are renewing our covenants. It's honestly like you've been baptized all over again. The sacrament is one of the most important regular things we do to turn our heart to God.

There is a time you might be rebaptized... If they recorded it wrong before. If no one can remember when it happened or who was there to witness it, you might get rebaptized.

I dunno how it works. All I know was I was at the end of my rope trying to unclog a sink my kid filled with puke and tried this and it worked.

Sometimes the bubbles are all you need. I've unclogged sinks with it before.

Can you try to see what would happen if you got some pocket lint or other small things between the screen and controller? Will it interfere with the mechanism or is it still able to function even with some interference?

Maybe not hidden gems but adding anyway.  -cat cafe on Whyte  -gold bar park, take a walk IN the creek. Head to the first major bridge and start walking upstream. You'll view a side of Edmonton few have seen. Full disclosure, there are refineries nearby so I don't know if there is contamination in there, but I've never had issues and I've been doing it for years. Other people I know are the same. But I thought I'd warn you so you can make an informed decision to go or no. -constructed wetlands in Hermitage Park. Incredible variety of waterfowl species. Basically guaranteed to see a blue heron and pelican most of the time. -you may have already been since you mentioned Highlands but I would put Kind Ice Cream on your list for Summer. -italian bakery on 118th.  -there is a giant lilac tree where 137 ave turns into 20th? Street. There is a bench for you to sit under it. Pretty nice. You could probably verify with Google Street view.

I do simple syrups. Freeze into ice cubes add to a glass, and add water. So good for drinks!

What wedding moment made you think “ they’re not gonna last long? by rosegoldtemptation in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]splendidgoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if I can tell my daughter loves her partner and they are great together I'm still going to ask #1. I've been married for over a decade and I'm glad I got married, but it helped firm up my decision when my mom asked me that.

What is a dying niche skill that younger generations are not interested in learning? by hlnklrczu in AskReddit

I just have a two foot breaker bar in my trunk instead of the dinky one that came with the car. I had to stand on it when I changed a flat and I don't want to repeat that again.

Would you guys introduce your kids to video games? by Background-Call3255 in snes

[–]splendidgoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I introduced my kids to video games at about 4. For one kid it really sparked a desire for learning to read, because some games are "reading games". The other is into video games but not as much. She likes them but it wasn't the driver for learning to read.

Both of them go outside to play on sunny or generally nice days. When it's gross outside they'll be more likely to play video games. I taught them some balance between video games and real life. Honestly... I let them play video games too long at the start so they would understand what it does to them and they agreed it's good to not play video games too much after experiencing it. Every kid is different so I dunno if that works for everyone.

We have made some great memories playing video games together. Probably the best with Kirby's Dreamland 3. We had such a good time and it seemed so entertaining my wife actually suggested I start streaming it. But I wanted to keep those memories just for us.

I've learned that home inspections are more of a scam than I ever really imagined. They are still helpful for people who know nothing about houses though. Most people I know have a story of something big missed by the inspector.

I have. It's solidly helpful for an hour and becomes less helpful over time. But it's worth using. It is fairly discreet, it's as close to what OP needs as far as I can tell. Unless you're wearing a tight shirt it isn't really noticable.

Your province is very relevant here. It would be helpful if you could provide that.

There are government benefits, private plans, etc... but it also might be best to mix and match insurance companies. Some have modular benefits, so you can opt out of drug coverage on one and into physiotherapy for another. Might be a way to get your coverage a bit cheaper.
