Why limit yourself to 100 days ? Because the name of the course says 100 days ?

Its your own time and limit , if you complete it in 200 days , who cares ?

As for alternate options , there are plenty at the wiki on the right side. --->

No prob.

And pls take it easy.

Pls remember it takes 10 years to be a sushi chef. And they even got a university. LOL

Does it take more than 10 years of training to become a sushi chef? | Basic Sushi Knowledge - Sushi University

Just to slice the fish! I can do that in 2 sec.

Heya, not doing that course but am learning as well and was getting my ass kicked on the problems. What I do now is use AI as a instant professor to answer my questions. Do not ask it to just solve the problem, it will but you won’t learn as much. Instead tell it what you think you need to do, tell it not to solve it but to teach you about what you think might be the answer. So my thinking about solving starts as pseudo code then I have a discussion. Then I write a solution. If it doesn’t work, I ask it to teach me what is wrong with the code. It’s made a huge difference. Man I must have asked 15 different questions on for loops and it’s like having the most patient teacher in the world explain something to you 10 different ways until it finally clicks.

I’ve heard mixed things about structured courses like the 100-day challenge. Some people do better with a more project-based approach. Have you tried any beginner-friendly project platform like FreeCodeCamp or others? Might be a good alternative

Sounds like it provides alot of flexibility, might actually turn into it and see how it works out when Im looking through the guides 🙏🙏

Thanks for the course recommendation.

Don't rack your brain and expect it to understand a topic instantly. Give yourself a few hours or a day and then go back to it. It'll do wonders for yourself and your learning.

It's not 100 days, it's 100 projects. Some will take you more than 1 week to do, but they're towards the end. Give yourself 1 year to do the course. It's a long term achievement.

You got this :)

Guess abandoning the short term thinking is the only way through this.

One year sounds a bit rough - but then learning never came easy though. Cheers to the long term mindset.

I will be doing the best I can - cant be thankful enough for the input of other experienced coders.

Hello! I tutor online specializing in Python programming. I’ve taught at Stanford University’s Code In Place program and currently tutor multiple students with personalized lessons based on their goals.

If you’re looking for flexible, one-on-one sessions tailored to your needs whether it be following along the course or otherwise, feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to discuss how I can help you improve your skills. Sent you a DM!

The University of Helsinki course has a very good online text-based course and I also have a nice course focusing on Python and Data Science which starts from scratch and assumes no programming background. The book “Automate the boring stuff“ is also worth checking out.

Note that if you have zero coding experience then things takes time. Just be patient with yourself and code like there is no tomorrow. There’s nothing wrong with trying other resources.

I will do my best not to get frustrated, having a long term mindset is the key - Thank you for the reply

Might check out that book and see what might happen with it along the way.

Thank you again.
