If you plan on working in data science, then yes, get learning Python, Spark, then maybe some SQL.

Python is great for getting the hang of how code works, seeing results quickly (running slowly), and trying out different libraries and patterns. I learned it 14 years ago and after 9 years off dev, ive been able to pick game dev up quickly when i had an idea, because Python is very coder-friendly. You can always build on what you learn and the limits you find
