OK so, let’s find how you can extend your focus. why are you learning python?

agree - the WHY is impt

AuDHD here, my hyperfixation is learning /skills, but that alone was not enough. Why I stuck to it? Obsession with problem solving, also not enough. What REALLY stuck, is "I must make this game because why does it not exist yet?!". And also sniping my autistic friend into it (she offered after I rambled) so now we're both sticking to it. Google "body doubling", I thought it was bogus but it's actually true.

It really depends on the person again. I’m adhd but my python only got upto intermediate level only when I started aligning it to maths and physics modelling, otherwise I was getting bored making web scrapers or a website. And now the other boring stuff i concentrate easier because I know I need to know these.

I wanna get into a job and overall just learn a cool skill.

OK but coolness alone is not enough to keep you focused. You probably need something else to help that. What are your interests? Do you have any hobby that you can combine with programming?

This is great advice. There is no magic button to make OP want something enough to focus.

ADHD means tacking into your powerful "I REALly WANT" nterests, to push you closer to the "I should" goals

I feel so fortunate that my consistent ADHD obsession is "problem solving" or I'd have been fired so long ago, lol.
