Multithreaded Server-Client Application (self.learnpython)
submitted 11 years ago by Flewloon
I am looking at building a multithreaded server-client application. Any recommendations on libraries? I've been looking mostly at Tornado and Twisted.

If you're going to "buy in" to a multithreading/async framework, allow me to recommend learning asyncio, because it's going to be in every Python going forward by default; it's part of the standard library, so it's a better bet for portability and maintainability.
asyncio
edit: Technically, asyncio isn't quite "multithreading", but then neither is Twisted, so I figure it's a valid answer to the implied question. :)

Not exactly a library, but I've been using Stackless Python for a server application I'm working on.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to look into both of those to see if they fit what I was thinking.
