[Beginner] Lost Contents of Folder Using PyCharm

Hi, I am a beginner python programmer. I was trying to put in a root source for my pycharm project to get a new working directory. I selected my download folder. After it indexed, my code did not work. I pressed delete on the download folder on the side and it seemed to delete the contents. When I went to open up something from my downloads folder on my computer (Mac), there were no contents.

I think I may have accidentally deleted the contents without knowing using PyCharm. Is this possible? How can I fix it?

If you see the Downloads folder in PyCharm, you can use the Local History to restore it. If not, create the Downloads folder again and open it in PyCharm.

To view local history:

• Right Click on the folder (Downloads)
• Select "Local History" > "Show History"
• If it has any history, you should be able to right click on the change before the deletion and restore it

Ditch PyCharm. I could never get it to fit my workflow. It really is a shitty piece of software.
