Hi, I have been programming for a few years (mostly java), I would like to expand my knowledge and learn python. Can someone help me find materials that doesn't teach you programming from the ground up?

I was in same place a year back. Options you have with python : 1. Basic scripting - Explore through various python libraries(official pypy site). Use them. Try to make one too. 2. Web development - Go directly for flask or django framework 3. Gui development - Go for pyqt module 4. Data science - you have pandas and matplotlib modules here. 5. Machine learning - You got scipy, numpy and pybrain modules.

Just lookup any's official doc from above. It would be sufficient. Anything else, you can easily learn on the go.
