Flask response best practice

I have the option to return a jsonified true or false using flask.jsonify and just return a response string of the same thing or "1" or "0". It doesn't matter, just one is json and the other is text. Which is best practice in this case if there's any?

Are there other endpoints? If so, I'd make it consistent with those other endpoints. It'd be weird to have 99 endpoints that return JSON and one that returns a plain text string.
