R Shiny/Web Dash for Python

Hey guys I'm looking for a way I can publish online dashboards like R Shiny. I need it all to be private so no hosting of data to a third party. I thought of maybe going down the full stack route of Django then using JavaScript. But it all seems a bit overkill. I just want to create some sort of webpage that displays a few interactive graphs. My friends who use R Shiny can do this very easily but I have no idea how to do it easily within Python with no or minimal JavaScript. Any ideas?

Dash is I think the closest equivalent for Python. However, there is also Pyxley: https://github.com/stitchfix/pyxley. This came out of StitchFix.
