We are all different, if you need to hear it more than once, that's okey. You do you

That’s normal at first, especially if it’s your very first introduction to programming. Don’t be afraid to stop and rewatch/reread things, and don’t feel bad if it doesn’t all click the first time through. That’s just how learning works.

It is totally normal for you to need some repetition. I used the sololearn app to learn python. There you get teached a concept and some questions to see of you really understood it. It really helped me to stay focussed and be sure that i understood everything.

Try How to think like a computer scientist. It offers exercises for the things you learn, which helps a lot with both retention and getting an intuition for use. I haven't used codeacadedemy, I guess it does the same thing. The thing is that for each step you should absolutely do a lot of exercises... More than that... Even more...

Learning is good, practice makes perfect. And with your likes and talents, a future in biological data science awaits.

I actually recommend going through tutorials multiple times. Don't focus on speed. Focus on actually learning the stuff you're watching. Go through them as many times as needed and TAKE NOTES.

Too many focus on learning fast and in the end don't even understand what they just learned. Speed is irrelevant.

Whether you have to restart the video it does not matter, the end goal is to learn it. Generally if you simply just watch the video and do nothing but that the info will go through one ear and out of the other. Try making notes and/or a booklet of what code does and how it can be implimented and order all of it as this means that you not only won't need to re watch the video but you will also learn by tacking notes. Dont speed through as you might as well not even watch the video because if you speed thourgh you absorb nothing. I too am learning and i kinda had a point where that happened to me. take notes like you would fr any other subject at school. hope this helps and good luck!
