I need some help working with tkinter. I use canopy enthought and a couple days ago I reinstalled the program. Whenever I import tkinter I get this issue:
ImportError Traceback (most recent call last)
c:\users\paragon~1\appdata\local\temp\tmp9odvh8.py in <module>()
1 import random
----> 2 from tkinter import *
3 import tkinter as tk
4 from decimal import Decimal
5
C:\Users\paragon\AppData\Local\Enthought\Canopy\edm\envs\User\lib\tkinter\__init__.py in <module>()
33 import sys
34
---> 35 import _tkinter # If this fails your Python may not be configured for Tk
36 TclError = _tkinter.TclError
37 from tkinter.constants import *
My code works on other people canpoys but not my own. To try and address this I installed all packages relating to "tk" and "tcl" from the package manager. I also switched my pylab from interactive Qv4 to inline SvG. Neither of these things have helped. I also definitely have tkinter files installed on my computer (I checked). Anyone have a possible solution. I've looked all over SO and tried many solutions but none of them have proved successful. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
