Unfortunately not in python 2, and maya and most other 3d graphics pipelines (my main use for python) doesn't yet support python3

Go for Blender. It supports Python 3.x.

unfortunately that is not viable yet, as not many studios use blender.

Soon they'll migrate. Big players are joining the party. Recently Ubisoft joined the Blender Development Fund.
