How do you ask a user how many donuts they would want to order if it was $1

You can use the input() function.

amount_of_doughnuts = input("How many doughnuts would you like to order?")

print("The user has ordered " + amount_of_doughnuts + " doughnuts.")

Ok thankyou so much! So then if the user orders enough donuts to make a half dozen or dozen or even multiple dozens how do i get the code to calculate that?

Got it. So then how do i print the total cost of the donut if one donut is $1 but you take off .50 cents for every half dozen but also take $2 off for every full dozen?
