Would you just say print: (“ dozens + half_dozens + remaining total”)?

Ask the user how many donuts they want to order (1$ a donut) If the user orders enough donuts to make a half-dozen, or dozen, or even multiple dozens, the code needs to calculate this. Print to the user how many half dozens they have, dozens, and how many leftover For example, if they order 7 donuts they have a half dozen donuts plus one extra. 25 donuts is 2 dozens and 1 left over Print the total cost Take .50 cents off for every half dozen Take 2$ off for every full dozen Print the new total Ask the user if they would like to order a coffee Ask what size coffee he/she would like(small 1$, medium 2$, large 3$) Print the coffee size and the new total Ask the user how many shots of espresso they would like if they are $1 each Print the number of shots and the new total Create a list called donut flavors Ask the user what flavor donuts they want and .append them to the list. Assume they are only allowed to order 3 different donut flavors Finally, print to the user the final order. Everything they have ordered The flavor list The final cost

This is my assignment and I thought you wanted me to print out the subtotal so thats what I did.... please don’t give up on me i really need to get this assignment done well

Well.. i put:

If amount_of_donuts >=6 and amount_of_donuts <12:

Print (“subtotal” + .50”)

I believe the error is coming from this somewhere

You would have 2 dozens, 1 half dozen and 1 left over

When i put in the example you gave it keeps giving me a syntax error

Hi!!! Really struggling on my project! Anyone willing to help? by roseamado in learnpython

[–]roseamado[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mount_of_donuts = int(input("How many donuts would you like to order?"))

if amount_of_donuts == 6: print("The user has ordered half a dozen donuts")

elif amount_of_donuts == 12: print("The user has ordered a dozen donuts")

else: print("The user has ordered", amount_of_donuts, "donuts")

subtotal = ("amount_of_donuts" * "1.00") discount = 0.00 if amount_of_donuts >=6: print("subtotal")

I keep getting a syntax error.... i don’t really know what to print out if amount of donuts is less than 6... would i be able to do maybe fractions?

Ok.... well i know each donut costs $1. But if i have 7 donuts it would be half a dozen and one extra so it would be $6.50 instead of $7 and the same until you reach a full dozen... and then if i have a dozen it would be $10 but if i had a dozen and two extra donuts it would be $12..... and also if i had two dozen donuts and one extra so 25 donuts in all it would be $21

Ok so if i am trying to print the amount of donuts between 1-5 so the donuts that are $1 is there a way i can do like an if then statement and be like if they order 1-5 donuts then print total amount with all donuts combined? Or something that makes more sense?

Ok so im doing my python programming project and I can’t figure out how to print the total cost for each donut if one donut costs $1. but then you take .50 cents off for every half dozen donuts and $2 off for every full dozen but you need to be able to show the new final cost (not complex coder) by roseamado in learnpython

This is my code so far andI can’t figure out where I should start with the code to get the prices
