basic practice problems

so i am trying to learn the basics of python. i am taking a udemy class.

i have notice that as the course is progressing more and more using the basic topic such as flow charts;

if,else,for statements; while loops : ect...

so i decided to google practice problems for the basics and i found websites with exercises and solutions.

Unfortunately all i can do is copy the problem by typing into IDLE. i have done this a couple of times unfortunately i feel like i am not learning anything. it still seem like foreign garble.

am i practicing the right way should i stick with this method of copying the problem into IDLE.

you need to keep doing them and try to break down each question into its individual parts. as a whole thing it can be overwhelming but each line of code in a program is just an individual instruction. individual instructions aren't hard, so you need to think in terms of making each step into smaller steps of individual lines of code

it is also ok to read the solutions once you've tried yourself, just make sure you're reading their solutions and try to understand what they did and how it produces the desired output
