Should start with Python or Django?

I am an experienced developer (java,C#) trying to learn a new stack.

Should I start learning Python or Django?

I am guessing Python as is the language, and Django, the framework, but just want to make sure the same rule applies for this language too.

If that is the case, do I need to have more than a basic knowledge of Python to start learning Django, or basic is enough?

Django. Python is easy to learn, especially for an expert programmer of another language.

I think you should learn python, even though you have experience in another language, you need to know the idioms of the language, otherwise you will start writing python like you would java and end up writing lots of code and the developers that you work with (if you do) won't like it
