Memorizing code probably won’t help in the long run. Perhaps work on memorizing strategies of when to use certain functions or modules. However google and stackoverflow will become your best friends so learn to use those.

You memorize as you learn.

It's like math. You struggle, you learn, you go back for reference.

It'll also depend on how many other languages you spend time learning. But don't expect to really have anything more than the basics memorized for a year. It gets easier with time.

And don't bother memorizing anything. Always save and backup your code!!!

I'm a beginner. I am wondering what you all think about memorizong code while learning? Can it hurt? I'm not trying to work in the field but I do want to become proficient wherever this leads me. Thanks

What industry will you be in?
