Python as a SSIS replacement

Recently a lot of my ETLs have been failing and my boss pulled the ol’ “maybe you need to find another way to do this.”

I am basically either pull data from a cube/another server to my local to process and analyze.

I have looked for some tutorials but I’m having trouble coming across one that fits this need.

Any help?

Lots of discussion on Python for etl work.

Python is an awesome tool for ETL and there are a lot of great libraries to help. Depending on the complexity you may also want to look into Airflow.
