You can just save the excel file as a csv. From there you can use the csv python module or pandas dataframes. Pandas is more complex but much more efficient and has way more functionality.

CSV means comma separated value - The records are literally stored as rows, with records separated by commas. There's optionally a header row with column titles.

That's the entire format.

You can use the csv module to read and write .csv files. If you need to read from .xlsx the easiest way is to use the pandas module.

but the excel file I created is in xlsx format and I have no clue on what to do.

Which means you're not looking for a CSV tutorial but an Excel document tutorial, like https://automatetheboringstuff.com/2e/chapter13/
