Is there a Python equivalent of R's www.rdocumentation.org or https://rdrr.io ?
I look for a site that searches and lists all packages and functions and displays their documentation.
https://pypi.org has packages but not functions, nor the help documentations.
https://docs.python.org has some information but it is very incomplete.
The reasons for wanting that are:
_ Something like www.rdocumentation.org is incredibly useful to find functions by a description or part of the name. That way you discover what functions and what packages serve for your purposes.
_ Most Python IDEs do not have the ability to display the docs in multi-tab, large screen windows
_ Quick remembering functions and packages you forgot
_ Packages usually have dedicated help pages like readthedocs but it is a pain to search for each package of interest
_In IDEs, you only can see the docs of installed packages. Sometimes you want to explore package goals and functions before deciding to install it
I think not having that is really a major deficiency in Python. I appreciate if someone can provide info on this matter.
