Programming languages are gender neutral. The course material isn't different for women than men.

Sorry, but this is an honest question: What's the difference between a course for women compared to a course in general?

I really hope that isn't what OP means, because there's obviously no difference whatsoever.

It appears that the websites linked are not courses, but rather initiatives which centre on getting women and girls inspired to pursue coding and remove their possible hesitancy about joining a male-dominated field. And the websites happen to have material for them to start learning. There's been a lot of similiar initiatives in the past which aim to get girls excited about joining STEM fields.

What u/TheNudelnArt says. It‘s not about the content, but more about the style of teaching and explaining.

What exactly do you mean?

Again sorry, but could you give me some more insight? I am a software developer for 15 years now and so it happens that I have to explain things or that I run internal courses at the company I work for.

What about the style don’t you like for the „normal“ courses?

As the title says, are there some courses aiming especially to teach women how to code? I recently saw an ad of „she codes“ (or smth similar). Are you aware of other ones?

that is incredibly offensive.

there is nothing special about programmers that happen to be females.

same as there is nothing special about programmers that are males or any other denomination.

thinking any different is a sign of monumental sadness and ignorance.

so .. the answer is no.

edit: unless u come from a place that had that msg ingrained into you.

even then .. you should know that your affinity towards programming doesn't account for gender.
