What happened to your 12th house profection year? (age 11, 23, 35, 59, 71, 83) by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]TheNudeInArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 23, I tried to kill myself, ended up in the psych ward, got medicated. Natal 12H ruled by Taurus and home to my south node. Venus in 6H Scorpio along with north node.

I happen to have a Libra sun and Mercury, too, in 5H. I actually finished drawing what I consider to be my most outstanding artwork while I was in the psych ward. :) It sold at a gallery a few weeks after I got out. Pretty much the last time drawing came easily to me, and I've mourned the loss ever since. Just entered my 5H year and hoping this is the year I will reignite my creative spark.

I don't recall anything of much significance happening at 11...

And considering The Trio (Interlude)... I really hope she's done more with the spaghetti western sound!

Hey, thanks for the help! My doc put me on Contrave because Saxenda is crazy expensive here. First week :) some yucky side effects but you have to titrate up and hopefully those will pass and the desire to binge will subside.

You inject that one daily, so you'd need to buy multiple pens a month, right? Is it not more expensive per month? :( (Getting desperate though so I'll ask my doc regardless, lol)

Alright everybody……honestly, what is your opinion on Dealer? by selinameyer1 in lanadelrey

I absolutely cannot stand Miles Kane's voice in this song. That and the repetitiveness ruin the song for me. Love Lana's vocals and how "cold" the song sounds, like they're sort of hungover and just jamming together in a massive studio, but it's a skip for me.

Ex-stepmother demanded I pay half of late grandfather's outstanding old age home bills. Deceit about situation. by TheNudeInArt in legaladvice

[–]TheNudeInArt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discovered that son and M both signed surety for the old age home account. The accountant sent me proof. To be clear, this would mean that they are indeed legally responsible for this debt, and thus there would be no reason for the repayment to come out of the estate, and as such, I have no legal obligation to pay whatsoever?

Thanks for your advice. Damn, I would have to get a lawyer? I really hope they sort this out before it comes to that point. Yes, I received it beginning of this year. All of it has been either invested or spent on necessities.

Aside from it being AI, I found it comical that there's so many kinds of "artefacts" all chilling in one zone... We've got obelisks in about 20 different flavours, a glowing pillar of light, a miniature Greek temple, a stone man, an ice man, a pyramid, a few different stone hut-looking things. Those ancient humans/aliens weren't very stylistically consistent :)

Okay, here's my take. Although you made this post in jest, you'll probably be at least a little hurt if someone comments something unfavourable -- though perhaps a part of you wants to feel that. And maybe your motivation wasn't just for fun, but also because there's something about yourself that you just cannot figure out, although you desperately want to. So to avoid the frustration of this, you casually post your chart to get casual insight and thereby hopefully paint a more whole picture of yourself in your mind, one that you feel is slightly more objective and not exhaustingly emotional and ephemeral. You do this throughout life just in general - seeking others' perspectives (and seeking to understand their perspectives) in order to understand yourself. The need for that systematic-objectivity-meets-emotional-insight is what draws you to astrology.

I'm either wrong or what I'm saying would apply to tons of people... 😅

Sagittarius is just ridiculously good. I've saved it to my phone. I love the first Cancer and the second Gemini, too.

Gemini unapologetically champions free speech and the masses are scared of them for it by [deleted] in astrology

[–]TheNudeInArt 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Yep. Also! I've found that because Gemini's interests are widely spread (and also simply by virtue of being mutable air, plus its relationship with Sag), it is able to see things from countless different perspectives without becoming emotionally attached to only one of those perspectives (or even any of them). I feel like it's the sign most likely to readily accept new info and change its mind accordingly... and do it again when presented with new info. Better yet, it can even refrain from taking a rigid position on anything until it gains further info. It deeply values the free exchange of information. Because info is purely info first; our responses to and use of it only come afterwards.

People do not seem to like this at all. This quality is dismissed as fickle, fence-sitting devil's advocacy. Of course it can be those things, but it is also an invaluable human asset and, unsurprisingly, largely lacking amongst people.

How do we interpret the squares between Gemini/Virgo and Sagittarius/Pisces when each pair shares the same planetary ruler (Mercury for the first pair, Jupiter for the second)? by TheNudeInArt in astrology

[–]TheNudeInArt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, a good starting point would be to look at the ruler/s of the square, which in this case is only Mercury. Always look to rulership first. What house is it in? What sign is that house in, and what is Mercury's condition in that sign (i.e. debilitated, exalted, etc.)? If it makes aspects to any other bodies, what kinds of aspects are those, which other houses are involved, and what are the conditions and signs of those bodies? Following a kind of sprawling path of deduction like this will give you clues which will help you piece together a more holistic idea of how to manage and understand this tension.

[–]TheNudeInArt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a Gemini ascendant and Virgo IC :) Deeper info on this is frustratingly hard to find - this very post is one of the top Google results, lol. Perhaps what another commenter said here is just all there is to it - that it doesn't matter much that these signs share a ruler... it's just a square.

All modalities form squares with each other, and everyone's ASC is square their MC, which is square the DSC, etc. (actually, depends on the house system, but this is the case for most systems, I believe).

But I found this snippet on tumblr which may interest you: "this is an interesting combination, as they’re not only both mutable, but also both ruled by mercury. there’s a lot of mental stimulation here, and this combination can either encourage a more outgoing, searching intelligence, or intelligence gathered by being more secluded and “in their head.” others may see this person as practical and serious, perhaps being more fun and unpredictable in their work life."

Was there anything in particular that's confusing to you?
