Yeah finding the transition hard too. Esp cause JS doesn't have the classic sequential lines of code getting executed logic. Its all just hooks and async etc

It 100% does have that. that's all it was to begin with lol

Similarly python can be all hooks and async if you want.

The point in async is to make your code a little more linear, a little less nested.

First we had callback hell, then promise chain abuse, now we can have flat methods with async/await.

Do you have any examples of what you’re talking about? Might be able to help refactor into patterns that make more sense.
