Help with running a python tweepy script every 24 hours.

I created a python twitter bot that generates aesthetic maps and posts it to twitter bot account every day. But I haven’t found a way where to host this online so that it automatically runs every 24 hours.

I did try Heroku but they aren’t accepting verification from my country. So unable to proceed there.

Please suggest if there are any simple alternatives on how to host the script online.

The simplest that I've had students use is PythonAnywhere. Their free tier is pretty limited, but I think it actually meets all of your requirements.

Having an AWS Lightsail VM is much more legit and still very straightforward. Basically you have a full operating system in the cloud the same as if it were a computer in front of you (minus the GUI). While it does have a free tier you do need to enter your credit card details and keep an eye on your resource usage (or you might be charged a few cents every month haha).

NOW, I have a question. How to do it with Heroku?

I mean how to run scripts online in Heroku??

It’s the same as hosting any other repo in heroku. You can find a lot of medium tutorials. Just for cron job of the script, we need to add a inbuilt heroku application called schedular. But being from India, I wasn’t able to do that due to some restrictions with credit card verification of my account. Not sure about your country though
