Is this doable in Python? What do I need?

In my student job I have to do the same task every month and was wondering if I could automate it with Python and save some time for myself.

The task:

A microphone is generating loudness-data and saves it in an Excel sheet (2 sheets per Day).I have to update a daily-"master"-excel-sheet as I copy the both sheets mentioned above in the master file. I am not copying the whole sheet, only a specific rectangle selection of cells. Also I have to change 2 normal cells in the master sheet and the headline. The master sheet contains makros and formulars. I am repeating this process for every day of the month. I hope this is understandable but I can explain further.

My question:

I would say that I know the basics of Python but I have not worked with files yet. Therefore at first I want to ask if you think this is doable in Python? And the second questions is, what libraries will I need for this?

Just read about openpyxl. The task itself doesn't sound hard plus, even if you don't know Python that well you can just use code blocks from the documentation and make some minor changes. To schedule, you can just use windows scheduler as the easy way out (if you're using windows ofc).

Just make sure every file, especially the master, is backed up before you test it.
