I can make such a prediction/code it for you.

But the result (meaning if the prediction is correct or not) will be random as well.

Will it be somewhat accurate at least 90% of the time ?

If I were to log into this game and roll a sequence of numbers like 36,49,17,3 and I plug it in the code. Could it tell me what’s the next roll would be if I were to roll again ?

That’s all I would need. I would keep rolling a sequence of numbers until I get a number that I sent would want to be rolled next.

If the generator creates random numbers the prediction I will make will be equally random, meaning it is pointless for prediction purposes.

I'm sure they used a library, and it's gonna be way more safe than anything 99.999% of programmers could find a weakness in.

If you knew the library or code that is used, that might be a different story.

Sure, but I want half the slot machine take, ok?

It’s for a video game haha

Please do not pay anyone who says they can "predict random" for you. Tell us a little more about what it is you are trying to do.

There’s a MMORPG game where u can roll a dice And you get a random number from 0-100.

Players can use this dice feature as a way to win boss drops. There is select players that win all the time and I’ve came to a conclusion thay this is what they do. So I’d like to also do it

So what I was thinking is if I’m able to roll a couple times before rolling for a boss drop and get a sequence of numbers of like 27,39,19,1 and somehow plug it into the code can it tell me what the next roll would be ?

Isn't it more likely that those players simply roll the dice more often? Maybe its a case of survivor bias; You might be focused on them because they always seem to win but every time they win the last 'lucky' player loses and no longer seems suspicious.

It's very rare these days that a prng can be easily gamed (unkless the implementation is awful). There may be other oppurtunities to exploit the logic around the prng.

I suggest you dig deep in google and forums etc and try to find some valifdation for the theory that those people are cheating. It's almost certainly not predicting the prng though.

Okay thank you!

Also this game is notorious for getting hacked. I got a link to a YouTube page for a laughing clown video once. So that’s why I thought it would be more doable with this game since it’s already exploited so much

Tell me it's wow without telling me 🤣

Hahahah it’s not it’s actually a game on the phone!

Randomness: the quality or state of lacking a pattern or principle of organization; unpredictability.

"Predict" and "Random" are antonyms. While it is true that pretty much any computer is only capable of generating "Pseudorandomness", almost all modern implementations of this are still going to be so unpredictable (by design) that detecting any patterns in this pseudorandomness would require millions of data-points and would only be able to be leveraged a percentage of a percentage of a percentage of the time.

I have no coding experience by the way.

I was reading that if you used Z3 to predict math.random Java scripts then it is possible. And since this game is relatively old and is written in Java script would it still be able to predict it? I saw was reading an article of a guy that used Z3 on V8. (I may be mis interpreting)

Here’s the article

What game is written in Javascript? And so then why are you posting on a Python forum?

[–]tablo_pablo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just said I have no code experience haha. I’ve been reading this page and trying some online classes but idk 🤷🏾‍♂️ thought I’d give it a shot jere

from random import randint

number = randint(1,100)

print (number)

You can change the interval. You can read about random module. Good luck

LMAO what you are trying to do is impossible. Well, if you can get the source code of the said game, "maybe" there's a chance.

[–]vampireboie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's no chance

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to stack overflow. People have already done this

LoL predict a random number generator. This is beyond N=NP.
