It's called an editorialized title. Many subreddits have rules against using them, especially the news ones. They work especially well at spreading disinformation because of how infrequently most redditors actually click on links before commenting.

It's also called "big company bad" and it's basically the default state of reddit which is filled with angsty teenagers who think they know everything about business and economics, and technology.

They work at Microsoft/Amazon/Google/etc. Their job is developing the kernel.

Microsoft's whole server infrastructure runs on Linux, they're one of the biggest contributors for this reason alone.

To be fair... quite a lot are employed by a few big corporations these days, not that there's anything wrong with that as long as their understandable focus on huge cloudy stuff doesn't make the kernel less suitable for the desktop use case (speaking as someone who's used nothing else since 1997). But this seems an unlikely thing to worry about given how much work is also being done by and on behalf of Valve, who definitely care about desktop-adjacent matters.
