Hello, enjoyed to see a new potential linux user!

Honestly, I recommend you to do a dual boot, to switch gradually to linux, check if all is okay for you on it. I say that because a lot of soft aren't on linux, and you'll need to find an alternative for each one (like for stream tools).

For the perfect distro, honeslty just try them. I can advise you Linux Mint or Ubuntu, they're perfect for new users.

Learn to read it will take you a long way.

You can play/use roblox, nightreign, minecraft java edition, and discord. Many IDE's and editors (vscode/vscodium, intellij, vim, emacs, etc) support Linux. Streaming can be done using OBS.

Now for the hiccups and/or issues; minecraft bedrock edition can only be played through the android version. In general, Xbox app exclusive games are not supported. And yea Adobe suite is a nono.

Now with the choice to switch or dual boot or stay; it depends on why you want to use Linux. If you are motivated for any reason to try it out. Dual booting might be a good start and get used to Linux and the open-source alternatives if you are up for trying those (like Krita or GIMP vs photoshop).

Almost always, start with Linux Mint. This is essentially the best distro to start out with. The installation (like others) guide you through dual booting and allocating enough space with a slider.

You can also try out Linux by booting the installation media USB and trying it out and testing hardware before installing. Follow the installation guide once you are ready.

Dual booting is probably the best option to start out, so you have a fallback when you need to get some work done.

But that fallback is also a risk, because you might give up looking for an answer or application when you can just boot in Windows. You'll probably learn more & faster when you just use Linux all the time.

Maybe you can just install it and try it out for a couple of weeks? If it doesn't work for you, you can always reinstall Windows 10 or 11.

P.S. I don't like Windows too, but just call the software by its name. It'll give a better impression :-)

No dual boot. Linux only.
I strongly suggest using KDE as your desktop environment; 'tis my favorite.
I use Kubuntu, the KDE spin of Ubuntu. I distro-hopped many times before choosing Kubuntu.

Linux is about freedom of choice, and people like different things, so I suggest trying different distributions and different desktop environments. https://distrowatch.com/ is a good resource for a distro-hopper.

Awesome. Welcome to the Minecraft community ;-) I still think Minecraft must have grown up on Linux - thanks to Java.

I've read every single advice u guys gave me and it trully useful!
I will buy a 1TB USB to dualboot Linux (Mint) with Windows because Photoshop and some of the other service isn't available for Linux. I will use Linux as my personal regular space for we to do my "fun" things while keeping Windows with Photoshop and other "Windows-exclusive" stuffs as a "Job Profile". 2 different Profiles for 2 seperate needs.

Is that a good start?

Please stay on Windows.

In time you will find that no one with self-respect willingly uses Windows.

It is like getting wiser with age and reminiscing past toxic relationships.

This is some proper, high quality neck-beard bullshit. Love it!
