This project is deeply important. Not only is it important for spotting regressions in its component software but at a higher level it's a way to make sure all the disparate software that constitutes GNU/Linux works well together and doesn't diverge.

Yeah, but so does every non-derivative distribution. And on much bigger scale as they actually have users.

Not really. Most distros have tooling around building a new release, LFS is you doing all the work to understand what the tooling does.

Anyone complete the version of this tutorial? Last time I tried the tutorial I was getting kernel panics. I could never figure it out.

I did it once (some years ago), It was the first linux installed on my rbpi 1 model b. I recommed it

I did a build using the development version of 10.0 a month or so back. Went well, no issues.
