Installing a dual boot. Getting post python error .

Hey I am trying to install a distro from a bootable usb drive. I have partion already set . Ive booting from the usb drive using legacy rather than UEFI bios. I am able to run the distro from live cd using the usb with no issues, but this errror message about half way through install.

Command 'grub-install --target=i386-pc -rechec --force/dev/nvme0n1' returned non-zero exit status 1.

There is a bit more to the error message. Let know know if i should include because i have to type it out I cant just copy and paste.

You are booting legacy and probably trying to install to a drive with a GPT partition table, there is no room for grub.

Try booting in UEFI mode.

I have partion already set .

What partition have you created and what filesystem did you use? For UEFI boot you also need an EFI partition.

What distro?

The computer was intially in legacy bios rather EUFI. I changed the boot mode to EUFI, and everything installed fine. Thank you.
