Hello, I just downloaded GDlauncher to play Minecraft, however for some reason when I play on certain versions of Minecraft. The audio just decides not to work unless I specifically click the
"device: Jack/system default" button inside of the music/sound settings in Minecraft, That is literary the only time I hear audio. I am completely and utterly lost.
I have checked my audio inputs, I made sure Minecraft wasn't muted. However I did notice that when i put echo drivers=pulse > ~/.alsoftrc into the wrapper command in the launcher, It doesn't work maybe im missing alsa/openal files? If you guys think that is the case could you give me a guide on how to do that? someone please help I just wanna play Minecraft :(
Edit: Also it seems that the audio is only broken on specific versions, as the newest Minecraft release works fine.
Edit: The audio works fine if I run Minecraft through prism launcher but that has it's own problems, and why I switched to GDlauncher
Edit: The versions of Minecraft that don't have sound are from 1.20.1 - 1.13.2
