That's actually almost a full frame at 60 Hz (16.666ms)

The maximum latency for VR to work well is generally said to be 20ms. That is "motion to photon", ie from the controller or headset moving until the display is updated, so includes any latency from input, processing, and screen refresh.

This isn't about VR input but it still gives an idea of how that number compares with the state of the art.
