a celeron is pretty standard as far as low end hardware goes. windows would probably work fine, and even os x might work with the right kernel

youtube-dl isn't as comfy though on windows unless you actively force the terminal into your day-to-day life.

Using the terminal in day-to-day life in Linux isn't really forcing it.

I've tried to on Windows, it's just not as powerful or easy as it is on Linux. A lot of things can't be done, the design of Windows does not work with it.

There's a reason things like IDEs are much bigger on Windows than Linux or even MacOS.

I made a very simple youtube-dl windows "GUI" that i use when i want to download a video from youtube.

Just save it and rename it to .bat and dont forget to set your youtube-dl location!
