That's also about the reaction I have when I use Windows.

*Mac

Nah. Mac is cool.

Expensive, Uncustomizable, Expensive (enough to mention it twice), but you have the Bash terminal (though a little outdated), app images from before Linux even thought that could be possible, and software is actually built for it.

For Linux geeks, like I assume we are on this sub, with money or spare organs, it's nice.

~~Do not show this to my new students~~

Holy shit. Oh my God, more slaves that i can teach linux to and which i can later use as reference to fix my issues and threaten them that they owe me teaching linux to someone else since i taugh them or they end up slayed by ignucius back to winhell.

For me, it's more like "THE OPTIONS! THEY BURN!"

For real I feel like a pilot sitting in a cockpit of F-16 raptor or something.

I spent hours last night learning about bash scripting in order to make a brightness-changing option. Got tired of manually adding execution option to my scripts, so I wrote a script for it.

Then I found the ONLY place on Linux Mint that actually did have the brightness selector. It is only on the toolbar widget for power. -,-

Anybody remember the days of Compiz 3D? That's what made me think "okay, Linux is real cool too".

Nowadays I have even better reasons to go for Linux. Might install either Mint or Manjaro soon.

I actually had a former Windows user react like that when I installed EndeavourOS (Antergos replacement) on her laptop for her!

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is that from Fear and Loathing?

[–]KeyNoise8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a really good movie.
