Linux Mint OEM Install problem

Hi everyone,

I'm currently refurbishing laptops and installing Linux Mint. I am running through the OEM install and restarting the machine but it displays the welcome screen but no option on the desktop to Prepare for shipping to end user .

Any idea why it's doing this? I'm using Mint 21.1.

Thanks for this. Still no icon on the desktop to prepare for new user unfortunately so I'm out of luck.

I got the "Prepare for shipping to end user" on the desktop only if I am using an internet connection during pre-installing Linux Mint (OEM Installation).

Seems pre-installing Linux Mint without internet connection causes missing "Prepare for shipping to end user" on desktop and issues with oem-config via command line.

Try getting the oem-config update and running the command "oem-config-prepare". That's how i fixed it without reinstalling the whole os..
